Constant Love

There is much
impermanence
in this life
stars die
brilliantly
as they were born

life’s gift
but a moment
dread time
swift steals
color of youth

the great shores
from vast oceans
slowly slip
reluctantly
into their cold
indifferent seas.

But oh
my love
is constant
rules over
the death of worlds
swallows planets
whole
and will take
you with me.
