Constant

When people become your constant
you emotionally attach yourself to them
without even knowing

They are a part of your daily routine
and even though the bond seemed small before
it eventually grows to a point that
your heart welcomes them in

These people are the diamonds
in a world full of copper
the type that you could never
go out and duplicate or shop around for

The ones who understand
without even knowing the question
the easiest ones to let in
but also the hardest ones to let go of

I hold a special place in my heart
for these constants of mines
and rare as they are I've found
a few that I will never forget

I just hope my memory sticks
when the routine ends
because truly their like family
in my eyes.
