Consequences of That Moment

You picked up that stone
despite the heaviness of it's weight
oh that desire for your revenge
caused by that inward hate

The tongue can be so quick
uttering a word without a thought
after it's out it's completely gone
never again to be caught

Many a occasion passes us by
looking back later to a sorry miss
thinking why did I not take it
lovely lips waiting for a kiss

The time goes on never to stop
always moving forward never behind
no second at all can be recovered
in a moment never to find

These are the consequences
of not being on the spot
for these moments can't be relived
they are gone not to be got
