I often feel despair about my health. Doctors have no cures, and my rare conditions never go away; therefore, I find things that bring me comfort and do my best to enjoy sweet life. Family, friends, and writing are my salve. Also in life. I sometimes make mistakes - not things of shame, but embarrassment. I try to just grin and bear it. Giving wrong information to students that I teach, I let them kmow when I have messed up. Humor is my best tool.

Humor is a good medicine. Constant nagging problems are awful, but we have hope in a new body, praise the Lord we'll have a new life. Prayer the moments we rest in our Higher Powers' presence is also refreshing. Thank you for sharing this one and for dropping by my page. Sara K

Good luck in the contest. I like your last sentence. "Humor is my best tool." That is excellent I think and better when it is mixed with laughter.

Thanks, kim. I am even turning down a free cruise with my sisters in may. i know that my conditions would keep me from enjoying myself. i just lie around my house to feel good. Too bad i have difficulties cleaning. oh, how i wish i could afford a maid!

They won't find solutions. i've already had MRI's. yes, am teaching ESL three mornings a week. i sit mostlly in a chair. i hope ro keep my mind strong even though I can retire now. Sociisl security does not pay for the rising costs of things, and ESL teachers rarely have the benefits of health care or pensions

Nice write. I don't know much about the form but it takes a wise person to admit their mistakes and then sprinkle in some humor. Take care. I enjoyed the read.
