Conquered and Departed
You came you conquered, tearing foundations from the ground up. Up went fictitious buildings with hollow fronts easily to be exploited again. The time it took to accept what was, what could have been was just another ended love story. It wasn’t enough to rekindle flames. Wasn’t enough to build a better story with closing chapters and opening narratives.
Our intentions remained impure, tainted with lust and distrust. Never willing to just focus on us…
Giving and giving but yet still unfulfilling..
As walls torn down and heart surrounded by stonewalls..
Conquered .. As you departed…
