Connections

As I looked to the horizon
Emotion surged through me.
Connections from some distant past, 
A calling from the sea.

Drawn to the rise and fall
Of this rolling entity,
As I watch the waves in motion, 
I feel content and free.

Moonbeams danced across the sea
Glinting way afar,
I stood in perfect harmony,
Beneath a million stars.

To stand upon the shore at night
To feel the shifting sea,
I felt the power stir my soul,
We moved in symmetry.
