Connected To Mars
I do believe in the mysterious
In everything that can be supernatural
In life being somewhere in the universe, eternal
In body changes, being, to age and numbers, no more capricious
Yes, I do believe in all of that
Life here on Earth seems to me to be but a stubborn brat
So, hey, come, let me turn my gaze towards the skies
There where the root cause of everything so subtly lies
I shall turn my gaze towards the red planet
The one which bears a resemblance to the soul of any poet
Yes indeed, such a soul is always dark and gloomy
Always with an air seeming to be so in misery
Maybe, just, maybe if I do get to go there
Maybe, then, I would see everything as being fair
The outside air would match with my mood
No more would I smile while inwardly I would brood!
A red planet, being so like me, the agonizing poet
See you, I seek to find the real bliss, but I find it nowhere on this planet
Maybe if I do go there, on Mars, maybe He shall come, the one known as God
Maybe He shall, and He shall even save me from my created self built world
Mars, being but the God of war,
Mars, I do lead with myself a ceaseless war
Pray, then, I guess we should be connected
In your meanings, I guess I should be instructed!
I do believe in the mysterious
I have a temper so capricious
I shall, I am sure, someday, unveil creation's every secret
Meanwhile, I shall relish being simply a dreamy poet!
