Confusion

Discerning Truth

When hardened facts present themselves,
we sometimes try denying.
But if our heart rejects what’s true,
is that the same as lying?

Truth seeks to find receptive minds
upon our hearts, it's spying.
But when we fail to face such facts,
our eyes succumb to crying.

When truth prevails and souls accept,
we feel our doubts go flying.
So only when we feel real peace,
will tearful eyes start drying.
