Confluence
Two tides collapsing into each other—
recognizing shape by force,
not by truth.
Our depths looked similar,
so I believed our wounds were mirrors
instead of warnings.
I trusted the pull
because it felt familiar,
because the body was mistaking turbulence
for connection—
and calling the damage
intimacy.
Not knowing
that familiar currents
still drown.
