Early days pandemic in lockdown

Day after day unable to roam Doing what’s needed Staying safe, staying home Week upon week inside a confined space Nowhere to go No other place Good days positive Fun and laughter galore Reflection of life and memories before Grateful, appreciative For all life provides Content for protection, safe inside Bad days negative Unbearably long Nothing right, everything wrong Frustration, worry, uncertainty, fear Tired, lazy, future unclear Motivation fading No end in sight Unsettled times A challenging plight Worries, woes consuming the mind Insanity looming being confined Leaving the home a difficult chore Struggling to get passed the front door Feelings of anguish, sadness, dread Apprehension not knowing what lies ahead Our world is responding to a time unsure This virus can come knocking at anyones door So let’s work together stay safe and contained So we can roam our earth in freedom again
