Confession

Criticism slips so easily From unempathetic tongue That we even blame ourselves. Still are we not to appraise ourselves And others, all the time... Praying for Grace's wisdom? Shame and blame Are often all we hear But surely are not love? There is no God but God, Jesus but a shadow of His Love, Can we claim the same? Though we are His children, Let our pride be in Christ's blood, Not in our own deeds. Such grace, such beauty, such love, Loved by God before creation... Teach me Your ways, oh Lord!
