Condolences and Prayers

A long, long, long, long time ago I met a family Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles And Kids, were dear to me Travels to the mesa Where a precious Penny sweet Had early left the gold drenched lands To her family flown, would meet We'd set some flowers on the grass Where she rests now in sleep Watered with loves tears that all Each tender heart would weep But trusting in a Father, Who would His Daughter keep The years like tides rolled out to sea Earth moved along in flight Continuous orbit round the Sun Throughout life's day and night And one by one, some called to rest Completing toils and earthly test Again the Tears on earthen grass Another dear has come to pass My prayers, my heart, is lifted To the Great and Mighty King To where her family gathers On shores where choirs sing My heartfelt, deep condolence And promise of my prayer That Heavenly Father's Precious Peace Will comfort each with care That hope, and joy, and healing Will be poured out on each one Until the final words of joy of "Welcome child. Well done." He gave us tears, tears to be cried And promises, they'll each be dried Upon the joy and promises On the precious homeward side

Very moving, BJ! Tears flow from my pen, as well... Blessed be the Judge of Truth, and let us say, Amen. You've quite the touch on this one. :) Gershon

Thank you so much Gershon, I'm sorry I'm responding to your sweet comment so late. I have been trying to catch up on here. I always appreciate you so much. This friend was such a sweetheart, though I haven't seen her in years, her loss affects so many who love her. Her family was so sweet, and I know there is a welcoming home party for those precious souls like her. <3

Beautiful BJ and well said. We are facing this right now in my family as my husband slowly withers. I haven't been online much for awhile because I am spending time trying to work at my job and take care of him too. My daughter is is big help but we are all pretty well exhausted. Well done my friend. God Bless, JB

Oh Judy, I'm so sorry to hear about your dear husband. I have thought of you and prayed for you. I knew you were struggling with a lot last you were on here. Life is precious, but often so sad. I will pray for you more. I'm glad you reached out, I want to know how you're doing, even if it's sad news. You are loved and appreciated here on the soup and have been much missed. Hugs to you precious friend <3

Yes, it's sad. I haven't seen this particular friend in a long time, but when she and her sister, my dear friend Linda have come to this neck of the woods, it was always wonderful to see her, and I'm so blessed to have been able to know her, and someday I believe we will meet again on the other side! I did have a good weekend, a weekend to remember with my dear husband, he took me to a beautiful resort for a long planned marriage conference our son gave us for Christmas! We had to wait months for this weekend, but it was a nice time with my darling husband. Our son even lent us his BMW to drive around in style, we usually drive our minivan :D So yes :) Life can be sad, but it is precious to celebrate the sweet moments of blessings we have upon this path of living, amidst the sadness we must endure in this sphere.

Yes, I wrote it about a dear precious lady who I met when I was young, her sister Linda was like a mom to me in some ways, and I was so blessed to know their big beautiful multi-generational family, so many happy memories, and so shocked to learn she is gone to the other side. Life is beautiful, and yet, so very, very sad sometimes.

Yes Anon, so thankful for the blessed hope, it eases our earthly sorrows in deep loss when one realizes the eternal blessings of a true believer. Your visit and comment to me is ever a blessing to me. Please pray for my dear friend Linda and her family. I know their hope is in a loving Heavenly Father, but she needs His sweet hugs right now, as does her entire closeknit family. It is heartbreaking, but faith in God helps ease the pain in a hope of forever.....

Oh, BJ, this is so beautiful, full of tears and promise. It's so sad - the older we get the more loved ones we lose.

Hugs to you Ann, yes, the ink of this poem is certainly from my heartfelt tears. I know this friend must be very happy right now, there with her beautiful precious loved ones who have already flown to the other shore. She was a beauty, and to imagine her young again, happy, healthy and free of the heartbreak of this earth's trials and tribulations. The blessed hope. I pray her broken-hearted family on this side find the sweet hope, peace and comfort in remembering this. Her tasks and trials are done, but those on this side still run the race that is set before them, she has finished her race. I bet her reward is so lovely <3
