Notes About The Poem

A cameo is a material that is carved with a raised relief that often depicts a profile of a face or a mythical scene. Cameos may be made out of conch shell.

A wind instrument, their natural conical bore is used to produce a musical tone  

In the Mahabharata, Lord Krishna blew the conch shell to announce the start and end of battles.

            Conch shell sea gem and sea snail    
            Horn held tone gyrates the tritonis trumpet 
            Note blown ending battles on a splinted scale                                                
            Epitome depictions make cameo’s regret                                                                 
            Emergent higher seas, onward this ship shall sail
            Tidal wave warnings of an uprising onset
