Compromise
go ahead and whisper a loving lie
tell me you care in the candlelight
while you caress and kiss, passion burning high
and it fades with the sun and the morning light
you don't have to offer a promise of more
when the dance begins and we explore
questions unanswered my heart has paid for
it will be no different than it was before
a love song sang from the one I adore
