Complicated Walk

Like wild oats
You are blown away
In vivid dream light
I beg you should stay
Nowhere else ever will I see
The tender shell you hid within thee
For no man’s sake will you render tears
And more insufferable you are
Throughout the years
Somehow though I love you still
Despite your raw, tempestuous will
There are things I know you’ve
Tried to hide
Not feeling safe enough to let them slide
God forbid your thoughts should veer
From friendly to romance,
Silk sheets and chandeliers
So much to prove
With that brick
Your façade
Something so true
Complicated and odd
Never could I walk a simple
Step in your shoes
