Complaint of the Canary

Nobody's coming to save me.
Tomorrow's just like today.
This loneliness, this waiting
No one can fill. So okay,
I give up! (Enter laughing)
That's life! So what for?
You've done it now; let the cat in!
Didn't someone say there was more?
And I just won't have it this way!
Oh, you won't have it this way?

Good for some and bad for others. It's life. Thanks for sharing, Elizabeth. Bill

I'm amazed at what a fortunate life I've had, no flood, no earthquake, no monsoon, no famine, no riot, no loss of a child. How can I not rejoice? Elizabeth

Life is certainly dark and dreary for the canary caged in a mine shaft . . . .Aloha!
