Competition

Competition is there.
From Sports
Making that three point shot at the buzzer and winning, even though the other team
tried harder then they ever have before.
Making the touchdown to win the game, even though the other team hustled harder
	        than the winning team.
Making it to the finish line first, even though number two practiced so much harder
and was just a tenth of a second behind.

To School
Working for the part in the play and beating the better actor because they
		“Accidentally tripped.”
Working for the approval of a “Friend” who turns around and treats you like you
		were a nobody.
Working for scholarships and beating the person who needs it more, just
because it looks better on your already highly qualified résumé.

To Work
Achieving the high paying job and beating out the one who really needs the money
		more.
Achieving employee of the month, when the person who really did do the
		work is just forgotten.
Achieving the tasks that are looked highly upon and leaving others to do the dirty
		work.

To Life
Fighting to hang on with everything you have even when the doctors keep saying
		there’s nothing they can do.
Fighting to make yourself known, even though everyone is holding you back in one
		way or another.
Fighting to stay in your special place you’ve known all your life, even though
everything around you is changing dramatically.

Competition is there.
	It’s always there.
