they make their reality yours get better marks in school join a team and shine make sure you grow earn lots of money money is life you don't want to die get a better job a bigger house another car more money that is the propaganda what younger generations are taught to believe but it is only an enforced enticement to buy into a life of competition that others may place their bets on wall street and profit from others illusion of a reality a certain prez broke existing nuclear deals and says he/america should be the nuclear number one that's the oldt propaganda appeal to the millennial generations ...c o m p e t e...c o m p e t e...compete...competecompetecompetecompete stan sand

You could have fooled me! My observation is that the life suggestions in your first verse are now considered outdated; and the reverse, as you seem to propose, is what is currently taught in schools and higher education.

Quite true. Material objects are not a good basis to judge people. To my mind you do not succeed by comparing yourself with others , you succeed if you are achieving your own personal goals and that might just be being content!! Great poem. Ron

yes...too often people accept/take competition as a way to go through life...civilization is pretty much past its early survival stages...instead of insurance companies competing for your money and you the same for care, the u.s. gov't is vastly wealthy and should institute cost free health plans like other countries..wait a minute...sounds far too socialist for t-rump's understanding
