Compassion

As tender as an infants touch
Considerate when it means so much
Warm as the summer sand
Kindhearted as a lending hand
Yielding as an open door
Tolerant as a placid shore
Merciful as a peaceful blessing
Forgiving without second guessing
Cherished like fond memories
Gentle as the falling leaves
Affectionate though there is no need
Thoughtful as the kindest deed
Lover deeper than the deepest sea
That's what compassion means to me
