Comparison

COMPARISON Can I compare you to a summer's day? No, winter has come and you now are old, the golden glints in your hair have turned grey if white should appear, embrace it, be bold. Once so cheerful energetic and bright, sipping summer's wine from a loving cup, You've tasted its fruits, a pleasant delight, As a beautiful woman you grew up. Life carries on at an unhurried pace, You still find joy in life by keep giving. Even though old with a now wrinkled face Still wise teaching us lessons in living. No summer's day to compare but instead, There are eternal summer days ahead. copyright © Vivien Wade May 22, 2017 a sonnet
