Company Coming

They are coming
They never do
It is a first in a long time
I will not focus on the fact
That it is their turn
The road runs two ways
And they have not been here for five years

Releasing all disappointment and anger 
into the wind, I relax and think how much fun
we will have.  It will be joyous! A great time!
They are coming!
They are really coming!

I will be the hostess with the most-ess.
Wait.
Does this mean 
I will have to clean?

Nobody has visited us in 30 yrs and we live down the shore where people vacation all summer long. I love the positive attitude you put on this poem. I need to learn that. Thank you dear Caren.
