Communion

i have relied on circumstance and fate all of my life.
god has never shone down on me and occupied
my life with luck.

i have lived with compromise and attainment without the need for belief
i have never had a calling or had the
ghost pierce through my organs and save me.

today i watched you make your first communion and
you have never been so bright. your innocence,
highlighted in your glow. faith enveloped you
and you enveloped me.

Very touching and spiritual verse. Same concepts written without using "I" would be a stronger verse. example Having relied on circumstance and fate all my life. (The I is implied) Light & Love

a great write, it is amazing how God touches our heart in small things, communion is great when we give our heart to God he just makes us shine so bright like stars so radiant and glowing, that little seed that was planted that day will grow, God bless you from diane
