Commitment

In our youth we danced to the song of angels,
Lost in love , locked in embrace,
The day we met , our souls understood solace,
Through all the tears and anger ,
days and nights of fear and longing,
Hope pierced through the veil of doubt,
Our commitment to belong stood ironclad, no matter what the darkness brought,

I lose myself in prayer, anticipating our elder years,
May our immortal love make no room for fear,
When our bodies fall , to age or sickness , do not tear,
It will be a life worth lived , and a love well remembered,
With that fact , to death my life i will gladly surrender..
