Commercializing Christmas

Stores are all decorated for Christmas Thanksgiving is merely an afterthought, Seems it is about doing lots of business Stores are all decorated for Christmas. I can’t smile for an aggravated grimace At how much stuff I’ve already bought, Stores are all decorated for Christmas Thanksgiving is merely an afterthought.

Thanksgiving and Halloween are both afterthoughts; it seems crazy to me Hank!

Yep. Me, too. I like to celebrate the holidays separately, not seeing them all lumped together in the stores.

Too bad we can’t enjoy each holiday, each season. It is sad.

I sure do like your idea, Kim. I think each holiday should get its special time and then move on to the next one.

HA! I wrote this recently while shopping with girl teenagers... Shelves Went shopping today Don't do it often In a place of less My appetite has softened Mind you it's October 1st September just went to sleep Halloween is stretching awake Still 30 days till ghosts creep Thanksgiving isn't on the mind Forget Christmas, too remote Yet these ridiculous store shelves Are way ahead of themselves! JINX! :-) Becky

Your words ring a realization of these Holidays grouped together. Well done Sir...

Good triolet. They have Halloween all mixed in as well.

It gets sort of confusing, you know. I'd like to see each holiday celebrated for its own uniqueness, not lumped together.
