Coming Home

The dark skies hover,
As I feel the evil forces surrounding me.
I look up at the house,
That stands before,
Knowing they wait.
They wait for me.
The dark shadows block out,
The light of the windows.
I don't need the view,
To know what lurks inside.
I laugh knowing,
I see them with open and new eyes.
I wear black because I am a warrior.
I sense my dark gothic soul.
Knowing that danger is near and,
Ready to confront. 
They are not expecting me.
I am the storm.
I am not like the others.
I show no fear in my heart. 
I smile as I see my ancestors,
Surrounding the evil within.
I sense them as they welcome me home.
I step inside feeling the ice-cold air,
Sensing the intruder is near.
Smiling, yet warning them with a clear message.
This is our home and,
We don't want you here.
I raise my hands and command,
I call upon the elements of the earth.
My grandmothers, mothers, and sisters.
I also call to Zeus and the Gods of 12,
To protect your family as you've done for centuries. 
I notice my family in spirit,
Surrounding and protecting me,
Resembling warriors getting ready for war.
I smile as I see the lightning,
Flow from their fingertips,
Casting out all evil.
The light returns.
The house is new again.
I feel their touch knowing,
My family will always protect me.

Actually one of my friends wanted me to write a goth haunted house poem cuz she's been reading my poems and she says you've never written one and I want to see if you can do it. Well she found out that I can. Haha. I watch Dead Files and their relatives are sometimes there so I put that in there too. Glad you liked it. Good nite my friend.
