Every little thing sends your memories back my way
Just when I think I can't miss you more
Someone somewhere opens another door
And I find I was wrong once again
Just as I was the day we came to an end
My best friend you have always been
Forever and always that you will be

That’s always been clear to me
And now I'm just trying to get you to see it too
Because I am still very much in love with you

You just want me to come back home
And perhaps we can get back to the us we used to be
