Comfort

I keep running to comfort
but comfort evades me
think i got it in my grasp
blink its gone, think im crazy
its funny how this works
how i search, how im trying
but im still feeling in the dark
look to God, hes denying.
Hes holding back this warmth
so now im filled with despair.
I keep thinking just another bend
years extend
gasping for air.
My lungs await the day
I sit down and say
youve pulled your weight, you did great, time to celebrate
