Notes About The Poem

Comes the Night

‘neath piles of blankets
crying herself to sleep
she rocks ever so gently
in maternal arms
her loss too much to take
in shock she rocks so gently
in maternal arms
‘neath piles of blankets
crying herself to sleep

Grief expressed in the way of a beautifully telling missive, my friend. Nicely done.
