Come Sing To Me
You've dried my tears,
Covering the sadness with joy,
So there's nothing left
Now, but the salt.
I love you more than even I know,
Delicate whispers of what I want to hear,
Chasing all my doubts and allowing
Me to believe a fantasy which
Is stronger now than ever before.
Come sing to me
In each dense night of the soul,
Wordless songs that hint of
Yesterday's dreams slipped by,
Yet haunting me with their beauty.
Still sing to me
In the tenuous light of dawn
As rays of entranced innocence
Slowly spread before the wakening tide,
Once again watching the end transformed
Before there's really a beginning.
