Come Running Like a Prodigal
He never had much direction or patience for that matter
Often making the wrong selection because of the latter
He had extremely little respect and did whatever he chose
The important things he'd neglect and from that problems arose
He blew every chance, and tore down everything he did build
In just wanting to dance important matters went unfilled
There was never a change for things always remained the same
In not being able to rearrange he just got used to the shame
But he did learn one thing, one gift he never forgot
The Lord's praises he could sing he just didn't do it a lot
But then he began to, more and more each passing day
Seems his Spirit would renew each time that he would pray
Now. the tears filling up my eyes as I look back on it (all)
Coming to realize there was someone who on me never quit
Paying in full the debt I owe, now you know why each tear
Looking back on it, what I didn't know, was Jesus was always so near
Psalm 73:28
But as for me, the nearness of God is my good;
I have made the Lord GOD my refuge,
That I may tell of all Your works.
