Come Out, Come Out, Wherever You Are

come out, come out, where
ever you are-
never too far, always
within reach, ready &
willing to teach a
lesson with force. there
is no alternate course
of action, no handy
distraction, just the
ever present shame.
what is her name? she
who lies lifeless, a worn
& broken doll, who is
this girl that pretends
to be me? i cannot see
straight ahead, stuck
back deep in the head,
temporarily dead.
come out, come out, where
ever you are-
sever the spirit from
the body, so clever, so
suave, so swift in
your movements. moments
inbetween, you can be
seen, sliding through shattered
bits of skin.
