Come Home For Christmas

I wrote this poem for my husband Alan who is desperately ill in hospital whilst waiting for a call from the doctors… Come Home for Christmas Home is wherever the heart is There is nothing that could compare Being with you by the fireside Snuggled up in a cosy chair. Believe in these words "I love you" I have from the moment we met You have been my rock, my angel To me you are simply the best. You're hugely generous of heart If I could I'd bear all your pain Walk the storm slowly and boldly Till we are together again. There placed beneath the Yuletide tree Is a poem for you sweetheart Read the words meant only for you The inspiration of my art. Missing you heaps, I tell you true The days and the nights are so long It’s tough and lonesome without you Beside me is where you belong. Merry Christmas to you darling The most delightful time of year If prayers, hopes and dreams come true We’ll celebrate with Holy cheer. Thank you and bless you Paula, sorry I missed this. The prayers helped me and Alan through the ordeal and Alan's health has improved though we have had many trials and setbacks… Belle

Your love for Alan is awesome to see in this poem. Reminds all of us of the delicacy in our relationships. I, with you, hope, he is home at Christmas. I know the loneliness of staring at the stars with no family there. Elena was at hospital 10 hours a day for 21 days. Much easier on her, now that I am with her 24/7. And hope I can walk soon. Thank you Pangie, sadly I can only see Alan through a window, he’s at ground level and I let the staff know I’m there and they open the blinds and turn his bed to face me, it’s so, so sad. I hope you’re back walking again soon. Love from the UK, Belle

Hi Belle, I just wrote you a soupmail, so No need to be repetitive. I will add this... envision and expect miracles. Doctors, do not know everything. Only God does. Nor does science know it all. This is a time for faith in God and in yourself. You can make choices about where Alan is. I had to call my daughter to call the nurses station many times. Patients need advocates. No nurse stands bedside 24/7. Do what is best,..PR

Thank you Pangie, I do have faith and am constantly praying for Alan’s recovery. I also have to have faith in the doctors, he’s in their hands. I realise that nurses are busy, he has a nurse given him one to one attention, of course nurses are human and can’t be in one place all of the time. I will do my best for Alan always… Belle

Thank you Silpika, Alan is still seriously ill, he’s had so much go wrong, even had a heart attack whilst in hospital. The doctors are working so hard and trying everything they can do to try and get him free from the septic virus raging through his body., so much has gone wrong it’s unbelievable. Bless you, Belle
