Come Home
Please listen to me.
You have not "done" anything,
that I have not done before,
or if you have,
then we can still talk.
You can teach me,
what not to do.
You can have the last word.
You can eat the last piece of,
my favorite pie.
I will make two,
more pies.
I will learn to make
the kind you like best.
We can enjoy them.
We can speak softly,
and not whine.
We can whisper,
and laugh,
maybe…
Or,
we, can do,
what ever you need,
to have done,
to keep you safe.
Just,
come home.
