Come Closer
Caught unaware and unprotected in the stillness of the moment I find myself presented once again with a calling so familiar it has casually slipped by my minds sleeping guard and now presents itself through whispers which tug at my aching heart with the soulful plea “Come closer,,,,, Come closer.“. Though the outcome has played out a thousand times before bringing with it an uncontrolled quiver in recognition of the impending pain I heed that plea and draw near once more to my memories of you.
