Come Away
Verse by verse
Thou in thy heavenly quest hast ravished my heart.
Verse by verse
Hast thou earned a Cherub's quill
To tell mysteries beyond thine tongue can utter.
Have I not yearned to lead thee by the hand to the springs of mystery,
Where Love abides?
I have yearned me
To tell thee the love from
The realms of my fiery heart.
Thou writest a verse -
And I write a universe.
My Spirit is the poet in thee
And thou art my beloved strumming the strings of my fiery heart.
Come up hither
From whence thou art to hear
Of mine, beyond scrolls and quills.Come thou away from the noise of
the scornful thoughts of the world.
For this Word must be seen only by the eyes of my undefiled.
Come thou to the secret hills
That thou mightest see my blown kisses of shooting stars in the night sky.
Come O Breed of Divinity where Enoch was not!
My chariots are waiting beyond Jordan!
Come where my eyelids would play thee pieces sweeter than the lyre of
Jubal and the harp of David.
I see thy inkwell hast dried up
Come thou with vessels not a few
For my tears.
For thou must write the heart of thy God as His its throbbings echoe
through the night in thy ears.
Come away O Breed of Divinity!
