Colours of Morning
Over the mountain she lifts.
A burst of orange, blinding and bright in the sky.
Nature's miracle or God's gift.
Almost painful to the eye,
a sight to make my heart sigh.
From violet to blue the sky changes,
the sun orange to yellow as dawn breaks.
A battle of colour wages.
Oh, what a sunrise it makes,
this vision, my breath it now takes.
Colours explode with the dawn.
I am blessed to witness the sight.
Then as this day wears on
the reverse will come as daylight takes flight
and sunset bids all a goodnight.
