I received a red letter without a return address which I read aloud from light via silver stars that painted the stark black night in hues of amber coaxed from a blue milk moon I never knew colors could cut so deep… Like silky violet reflected in a white pill its hard edges cutting deep my cheek as it fights with a caramel colored drink to stay afloat tumbling towards the abyss of my throat I never knew colors could cut so deep… Like a green onion dipped in chocolate I’m out of place – sipping on memories of you I never knew colors could cut so deep...
