Colorless

COLORLESS

Life is like a black and white canvass
Man is artist tasked to complete this painting task,
What is or are these task you might wanna ask.
We all came to the world bare, not even dotted lines,
Though a miracle, but no premeditation, no signs.
Life either gives you colors or you buy with hard work,
Buckle up, or else in life you'll rock or suck
Keep yo boat laced if you want to keep pace
In this colorless life called the human race.

Vick, I liked that you are sharing & expressing yourself. You seem a bit jaded, or skeptical about the human race. As a South African of Asian origins (slaves of a kind taken from India since 1860s), I do not agree life is like a "black and white canvas" but one of many living colors & stories. Just glad U could tell your's. ongrats, keep writing. Please read a brown man's African poems; Thanks. ANIL DEO

Anil seem you forgot that writers do have a eyes, ears and hands that tells all kinds of stories. As a writer, you could "be" whatever you are and what you're not. It is called creativity ;-) Don't also forget, a piece doesn't define a poet. Thanks for reading Anil.
