Color Me In
Will time be so generous as to let me live another day?
Pause my vision, so that age too may stand stilll and not caress me with years
As time will speak, I will grow weak
For the end of my plan, shall be in my deepest sleep
Where dreams don't exist, and joy is unknown
I stop and kneel, for a dark force may but see me eye to eye
My king is king to kings, He whom paid the price
My God's gift, and I accept with my open heart
My vessel of hope, and affection a get away into my own small reality
Grant me a wish so that I may see, cure my sight so that I may fight
Plea me free so that I may live, see you not? I die
Spread my written word, so that my voice will resucitate
Cry my cries, so that my pain may flow free
Say my name so that my spirit may chant and guide
Not all gold is real, what we see is what we feel
Speak to me, read my message that time, haunts us all
I the poet of light, you the poet of hope
Will you not speak if life is at stake? I close my lips in agony
Please set me clean, give me back my name
