Notes About The Poem

Color Me Green

in mid afternoon
the birds were singing to spring
awakening world

gold snapdragons danced
to woodpeckers rat-at-tat
near emerald pines

purple butterflies
born for the joy of living
color me springtime

Hi Evelyn, You have penned such a lovely string of “ spring” haikus. As always your imagery is amazing. Have a great day, my friend:-) Alexis

We are in springtime but the weather is foul today. Bring on the colors.

At least blooming things bring cheering colors inside, even on rainy days. :D

Thank you, Woody. A woodpecker used to frequent my backyard, which was nice. You might like this video. :0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPfnfFINlBk
