                     Color and Passion


        Oh, how I love both color and fashion.

        Carnival in Brazil is my passion..

        Sparking sequins,feathers are everywhere

         Humanity dances in the night air.

         Sensuosity lights  a dance fireball,

          Rio, at Carnival, is an enchanting call!

Love the music of Black Orpheus (La Felicidade, Samba de Orfeu, and Manha de Carnaval especially) and love to put on the music of Jobim, and the Gilbertos. That one album with Stan Getz (Girl from Ipanema) was a classic. Loved reading your enchanting poem of color and celebration! Panagiota Romios July 16, 2022 at 9:49 AM Dear John, I replied. Looked back, and it was gone I am s u re this grand movie is on You Tube.the guitarist fist is Bola Sete . Gilberto is awesome!so is Getz. I am lost in another world hearing Bossa Nova. There is a movie on You Tube called Black Orpheus. It’s the Greek tale of Orpheus and Eurydice but told in Modern Day. With subtitles. Very dramatic and you’d see the background that goes into the dance, parade and costumes. Beautiful scenery. Gorgeous music! Love, Panagiota xxx

Carnival, is a wild time there. I am sure there are videos of it on You Tube. Groups practice for a year before Carnival. Many sew their own costumes! My nickname is San Francisco was Zuzu. Named after a famous woman in Rio. She had a boutique called Zuzu Angel. And had her had in politics, too. A very good person. Love, Panagiota (alias Zuzu) xxx
