College

my eyes well up
its hard to drive
those huge grey sobs
lift in my chest
and choke me
I miss him as soon as he's gone
an excellent companion
a better man
becoming
more himself each day
I miss his loud voice in the hall
his step on the stair
his smile
his humor
and I miss seeing
myself
in his eyes.

It's hard to let go when the one we love leaves and we feel so very alone. I hope you will see yourself "in his eyes" again very soon. Love, Carolyn
