A True Friend Forever


When times are tough, I turn to God
For he will lead me in the right direction
Wending me through all the façade
While forgiving all of my imperfection

For God gives me strength to rise above
Any road blocks that are in the way
Teaching me with unconditional love
To live fullest with gratitude every day

Helping to restrain the demons within
God wraps me up in his warm embrace
Washing away all my shameful sin
While showering me with his love and grace

I am willing to give and sacrifice
With all that I am called to do
God grants me all that does suffice
While showing me all that is true

As this journey of mine soon reaches its end
For God my love and faith will be strong
In hopes when it’s time my soul will transcend
Because heaven is where I ultimately belong
