Cold Temperature
Looking through the lace glazed window
patterns etched due to frosty cold
heat failed to keep them clear
as temperatures dropped low.
I put my fingers on the glass
prints became imprinted
showing where the warmth
had touched the cold pane.
I then blew on the pane
with one big breath
one big circle appeared
providing a peeking hole.
Extreme cold touch the prairies
heat could not keep up
a peeking hole was all needed
as a storm brewed outside.
