Cold Surprise
When I heard you generalize and quickly judge
Surprise and astonishment came very fast
I knew then that you held a lifelong grudge
Against a certain people that will forever last
For years I only saw kindness and smooth charm
The well wishes and hospitality of a good friend
And my feelings now are just like a real alarm
Nothing is false about what your message sends
While I know the many reasons for hurtful names
I don’t know why I stay silent when they are said
And like a weakling whose reticence he blames
Weak are those around me staying silent as the dead
