Cold Knees Or Alice
Think I'll spend the Winter in Dallas
These Northern climes are hard on my knees
It's been a while since I've seen Alice
She's always been so easy to please
These Northern Climes are hard on my knees
It would be nice to see her again
She's always been so easy to please
Told her I'd be back, couldn't say when
It would be nice to see her again
Maybe we'll dance 'til the early dawn
Told her I'd be back, couldn't say when
Saddled my hoss and then I was gone
Maybe we'll dance 'til the early dawn
Wonder if she's still glad to see me -
Saddled my hoss and then I was gone
Hope she ain't mad, but then it could be
Wonder if she's still glad to see me -
I can picture that smile on her face
Hope she ain't mad, but then it could be
Without her this ain't much of a place
I can picture that smile on her face -
She packs a pistol in her left boot
Without her this ain't much of a place
As I recall she really can shoot
She packs a pistol in her left boot
Maybe come winter I should stay here
As I recall she really can shoot
I gotta choose 'tween cold knees and fear
Maybe come Winter I should stay here
It's been awhile since I've seen Alice
I gotta choose 'tween cold knees and fear
Think I'll spend the Winter in Dallas
