Notes About The Poem

Cold As Ice

cold as ice;
     frozen solid.
          her heart
               once inviting,
                    now with a locked door;
                          windows shut.
                               a heart...

stomped on by...
     brutal
          betrayal;
               reluctant
                    to welcome love back.
                         I do pray that true love
                              walks...

right in and thaws it!

                        (Yalto)

Interesting progression here, Edward. I hope, too, that "true love" will walk "right in and thaw" that heart.

True love can thaw a frozen heart. Wonderfully emotive--succinctly done in your signature form, Edward.

I like this, Edward! I tend to fancy syllabic forms, as you've probably noticed by now. Is the formatting part of your form? Blessings, Kim M
