Coffee Loves Me
Coffee loves when I am alive and singing.
Everyone knows that caffeine is high pitched and doesn’t waver.
When I’m at the coffee shop.
My mug knows me well.
Whispers stuff about wanting more sugar.
Coffee loves me because I have a wistful power.
A cup contains energy, contains me.
When I lost my mind in the coffee world.
It’s just a shattered cup away from dream to dream.
Coffee loves when I’m a twirly eyed person.
And I’m just a mug of myself.
Who contains the whispering coffee feelings.
Turns that roasted scent into nothing-eyes.
Coffee loves me.
I’m a coffee vessel.
Just like shattered mugs over angry lunches.
Soft coffee songs.
And maybe a cookie for dessert.
