Coffee First
Before the day can start out for the worst
it's always best to have coffee first
Coffee helps nudge you awake
assures waking was not a mistake
The aroma of the sacred brew
early in the morning hugs you
Drink it black or with cream
sweeten is a heavenly thing
Dark roasted and freshly ground
gets you hopping and moving around
That first sip intoxicates your nose
and warms you down to your toes
Coffee first allows you to smile
that magic brew is your morning pal
Calms that groggy beast who woke up
drink it cup by cup
Coffee is breakfast favorite brew
begin the day with a steaming cup just for you
