The Whiskey Taster’s Flavor Guide

Coffee Date

Two people almost strangers
Meeting in person
A small exchange of greetings
Order is placed
Discussion shifts to workplace
Nods and smiles
A rather long involuntary pause
Uneasy laughter
Coffee breaks the ice
Steam rising
Slowly sipping bit by bit
Delving into longer conversation
Holding gaze
Unknowingly another of many tales
Began to be written
Aroma of coffee
Brew magic into the hearts
Eyes spoke
When lips fell silent
An hour passed
Rather too swiftly
Time to part ways
Goodbyes
Longing desires
Hearts wishing to meet again
Waves of emotions
First and unforgettable
Their coffee date

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
